THIS WEEK IN BASEBALL  /     COACHES MEETING AGENDA FOR MARCH 1ST, 2020 January 31, 2020

WEB SITE - The web site is going to be the place to go for information.  Information will be updated frequently under the Coach's Corner tab.  A link will also show places for coaching drills such as:  Coach Up, Coach Deck, Little League University, and USA Baseball.   T BALL, ROOKIE Little League templates, and our ASAP Plan will also appear here.

FIRST AID TRAINING-
This is Little League required for all coaches this year.  We need to explain the first aid kits each of you have, what is available at the ballpark at home.  This includes AED's, Narcan, and "Stop the Bleed" kits.

GAME PREP - ONE HOUR PRIOR TO GAMES - Each player needs to have a drill of throwing, catching, and hitting prior to being asked to do it in a game.  This was a BIG issue with a few coaches.

FIELD PREP - We need to make sure each coach knows how to properly care for the field prior to and after the games.

INTER-LEAGUE PLAY RULES  (MINORS AND ABOVE) - Inter-League play rules will be posted here.  Scheduling Meeting has been set for Sunday, April 19th.  Should be the same format, same location in Pellston.  A new baseball (from Baden) is coming for practice.  The shell feels like 'rhino-liner' and it is supposed to dry quickly.  New bats that are stamped with USA Baseball are in.

UMPIRES -  A new Umpire Coordinator is needed to schedule umpires for games.

NEW FIELD - The new field is ready to role and we are looking forward to playing on it.

UPCOMING PROJECTS - We need to discuss a hitting tunnel on both Reber Field and Hoffman Field.  In addition, we need to discuss moving dugouts and bleachers on Reber Field ("A").
