District 13 Inter League Play Rules

1. The hometown team will be home for single games. The hometown team will be home for game 1 and visitors for game 2 of all Double Headers.

2. Each host team will supply 2 game balls per game and will receive 2 balls back at game completion, if not lost.

3. Junior Division and below: a. Continuous batting order at all levels is an acceptable option within our district as long as both managers agree to this option prior to the first pitch of each game with the umpire notified at the home plate meeting. If either manager disagrees to this option, play for that game will be according to International Little League rules for the current year.

4. Nine (9) players maximum will play the field.

5. Per Inning RUN RULE – Last inning is unlimited runs allowed for both teams. a. Rookies, Minors ,and Majors 5 runs per inning b. Juniors and Seniors 8 runs per inning

6. TEN (10) RUN RULE – a. Five Inning Game. If at the end of 4 innings there is a 10 run difference in the score, or during the bottom of the 4th or 5th inning the home team reaches the ten run rule the game will end immediately, and the losing manager MUST concede the game. b. Seven inning game. If at the end of 5 innings there is a 10 run difference in the score, or during the bottom of the 5th , 6th, or 7th inning the home team reaches the ten run rule the game will end immediately, and the losing manager MUST concede the game.

7. After a game has begun NO MANAGER OR COACH HAS THE AUTHORITY TO CANCEL A GAME. The chief umpire assigned to the game will determine if the game should be played or postponed.

8. Home town team will supply umpires. If meeting at neutral site each team will supply one umpire.

9. Good Sportsmanship: Trash talk IS NOT tolerated before, during or after games. At the end of each game, the teams should meet at home plate and congratulate each other. Good sportsmanship should be conducted at all times by players, managers, coaches, parents and fans. Managers and coaches are responsible for their own players. Parents and fans are responsible for themselves. If a parent or fan causes trouble, the other parents or fans should stop this from continuing. If this doesn’t stop, an umpire can halt play and ask manager to deal with individual. Play can be suspended until offender leaves the field. If this is not enough, the police can be called.
